ACFIT Presents: Two-Track Seminar for Interpreters in Las Vegas

ACFIT (Affordable Conferences For Interpreters/Translators) presents a two-track Seminar for Interpreters/Translators on November 6th, 2010, at the Regional Justice Center, 200 Lewis Avenue in Las Vegas, NV 89155. The seminar has one full-day track for interpreters working in Spanish, and one half-day track for interpreters working in languages other than Spanish (LOTS). Topics include:

  • Conference Interpretation (language neutral)
  • Ethics in the Judicial Process (language neutral)
  • Forensics in the Courtroom (language specific)
  • A Translation Exercise (language specific)
  • An automotive terms workshop (language specific)

Note: this seminar has been approved by the Court Interpreter Program of the Nevada Supreme Court’s AOC for Continuing Education Credits or CEUs (7 credits for Spanish, 4 credits for LOTS). Please note that there is a registration deadline for this event: no registrations will be accepted past October 22nd, 2010! A reduced early bird registration fee is available also, for those registering before October 6.
