7th Annual Conference for Judiciary Interpreters in Boise, Idaho

The conference will be jointly sponsored by the Idaho Supreme Court and the Ada County District Court.
The program has been structured in such a way to allow all interpreters, independently of their experience and skill level, to benefit greatly. The main focus will be on consecutive interpreting: theory and practice; refining consecutive interpreting skill, as well as introduction and practice of new techniques.
The organizers are privileged to have internationally recognized interpreter and trainer Dr. Alexander Rainof, PhD serve as faculty:
“Dr Alexander Rainof attended Boston University and Harvard University, and received his M.A and PhD in comparative literature (specializing in Anglo-American, French, Italian and Spanish languages and literature) from the University of Michigan in Ann Harbor. He is a certified interpreter for the federal, state and Los Angeles county courts as well as for all state agencies in CA. Dr Rainof is certified by NAJIT and SSTI with NJITCE: Spanish credential. He is currently a professor in the Romance, German, Russian languages and literature departments at California State University, Long Beach and in the translation and interpretation certificate program at UCLA/UNEX. Dr. Rainof serves as a member of the board of directors of the Society for the Study of Translation and Interpretation”.
Enrollment will be limited to 30 participants. Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
The training has been approved by the Idaho Supreme Court for continuing education credit.

- Date and Time: Saturday, September 25th 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM & Sunday 26th 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Place: Ada County Courthouse, 200 W. Front Street; Boise, Idaho 83702.
- Registration: $200.00. All registration fees are non-refundable, unless the training session is canceled due to low registration.
- CEU: Training approved for a minimum of 8 hours of CEU for Idaho.
