Poll: Would you like to see more events webcast live with interactive participation?

Looking back, we can now unambiguously announce an accomplished fact: the live webcast of our Spring 2010 Quarterly Symposium has been a complete success! At NITA were a bit nervous about committing to our very first live and integral webcast of a Quarterly Symposium. There’s so much that can go wrong if not all the necessary pieces of the puzzle are in place that frankly, that is the reason why we didn’t give it too much publicity prior to the event. We wanted to make 100% certain that it’s doable, before putting it out there for the entire world to see!
Thanks to the wonderful people at the University of Nevada, Reno, the gracious sponsorship of the Northern Nevada International Center, and of course the Livestream webcasting service, we are now 100% certain that it’s technically feasible, and that it works! If you want proof positive, you can look at the on-demand video of the entire event, which was accompanied by a live chat, so as to also and specifically include others in the event, who either circumstantially couldn’t, or due to the larger distance, cannot be physically present at our Quarterly Symposium.
Of course, it’s a wonderful feeling to look back at a technical accomplishment that worked out very nicely. But the key question is: what do you think about webcasting NITA events, live over the Internet and with a teleparticipation mode via chat?
