Multilingual Training For Health Care Interpreters

A Forty-Hour Professional Development Course

• Where: Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center
  1600 Medical Parkway
  Carson City, Nevada

• When: From 8 am — 5 pm, on Saturday August 28, Wednesday September 1, Friday September 3, Wednesday September 8, Wednesday September 15

• Who: Trained or untrained interpreters in any language; anyone with an interest in medical interpreting; Bilingual Health Care Staff

• Why: Improve your Medical Language Proficiency, and become familiar with medical interpreting, ethics, and protocols.

• Pre-Test: Language Proficiency Test in Second Language by a third party included in package price*
• Certificate of Language Proficiency*

*Exceptions can be made for certain pre-qualified attendees, with a resulting $90 reduction in training cost, and no proficiency certificate.

NOTE: the Class is an Intensive Training and will include homework!

Continuing Education Credits: Approved for 10 ATA CE Points.

Cancellation policy: Refunds are issued only if notice of cancellation is received on or before August 1, 2010 (no postmark accepted!); a cancellation fee of $20 is charged for all cancellations. We reserve the right to cancel this training and in that case provide a complete refund if we have insufficient attendees.
