NITA has learned that, due to unforeseen circumstances, the 2nd Annual Interpreters and Translators Conference in Florida has been cancelled. According to the organizers, the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Florida, Inc. (ATIF) is looking forward to plan a Conference at some time next year, in 2011. Please consult the ATIF website for more information.

2nd Annual Interpreters and Translators Conference in Florida

Last year’s successful Interpreters and Translators Conference in Florida has now materialized in the Second Annual Conference, which will be held in beautiful Miami, on September 17-19. It will feature presentations by nationally known federally certified interpreters, and a series of educational sessions offered in a staggered schedule, which allows all participants to attend and participate in all events.

Registration is now open for this event. The organizers graciously have arranged for a special “early bird” discount for all NITA and NAJIT members, who can pre-register at the special rate of $175 for all three days. After the pre-registration period, the regular fee for these three days will be the regular $250 attendance fee for participants.

For more information, or to (pre)register, please contact via e-mail at interpreter.answers@gmail.com or see the de la Mora Interpreter Training website for further announcements.

Pls. keep me posted on future continuing education seminars for state certified interpreters in Miami
There is a need for these kind of seminars in the South Florida Area, due to the Florida Courts Continuing Education requirements
