Please join us for the first NITA professional development event in Las Vegas, which we are able to offer for free for all NITA members and friends.
The Entrepreneurial Linguist: Lessons from Business School
Speaker Judy Jenner* will present her popular workshop, which will teach colleagues how to run their businesses more effectively and efficiently, based on the lessons she learned in business school (M.B.A., UNLV, 2001). This interactive presentation is for both newcomers and established linguists, and has a special focus on working with and acquiring direct clients. It includes sections on marketing, accounting, economics, entrepreneurship and negotiating.

*Judy Jenner is NITA’s Vice President and a Spanish and German Translator in Las Vegas. She runs Twin Translations with her twin sister. They work exclusively with direct clients, specializing in legal, business, e-commerce, marketing, and IT. Judy has given her Entrepreneurial Linguist workshop around the country, including: Denver, Chicago, and Seattle, and at the American Translators Association (ATA) 50th Annual Conference, held in New York City. In Business Las Vegas recently chose Judy as one of their “Women to Watch 2010â€.

Yay! I really, really hope that this Big First turns out great, with a great turnout, too! Then again, Las Vegas is in good hands with you.
If only I could be a fly on the wall at the Davinci Executive Suites on Feb 6…
