NITA Vice President at UNLV

On October 19, 2009, NITA vice president Judy Jenner will join forces with fellow NITA Member and professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Iria González-Liaño. Judy will address the current Interpretation and Translation class at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her focus will be on the importance of bundling strengths with growing and available professional resources, and taking advantage of professional organizations here in Nevada, such as NITA.

Judy is excited about the strengthening of ties between UNLV and NITA: “As NITA continues to grow in Southern Nevada, we strive to include the next generation of academically trained translators and interpreters. It’s a great opportunity to have been invited to speak at UNLV, and I hope that many students will take advantage of our very accesible student membership!”
