The Nevada Interpreters and Translators Association (NITA) Announces Vice President Judy Jenner’s Presentation at the Chicago Area Translators and Interpreters Association (CHICATA)

(Reno, Nevada, May 12, 2009) The Nevada Interpreters and Translators Association (NITA), headquartered in Reno, Nevada, announces that its Vice President, Judy Jenner, has been invited as the keynote speaker at the Twentieth Chicago Conference on Translation and Interpretation, to be held on Saturday, May 16, at the Talbott Hotel in Chicago, Illinois. The one-day conference’s topic is “Entrepreneurship, Business Practices, and Ethics,” and Ms. Jenner is giving the keynote presentation titled “Lessons from Business School: The Entrepreneurial Linguist.” Ms. Jenner hold an M.B.A. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and is a full-time Spanish and German translator in Las Vegas.

Her hands-on presentation has its main emphasis on marketing (to direct clients, social media, Web 2.0, competitive advantage), and includes sections on finance/economics (pricing, supply and demand), accounting (decreasing expenses), entrepreneurship (generating new business, networking), and negotiating (tips and tricks).
