The Tennessee Association of Professional Interpreters and Translators (TAPIT) presents a Long Legal Consecutive Interpretation Workshop with Holly Mikkelson. This small-group, day-long workshop will be extremely beneficial to experienced legal interpreters of Spanish who seek to improve their consecutive skills and memory-retention techniques. Well-known interpreter, translator, professor and author, Holly Mikkelson, will use her rich knowledge and experience to inform and guide the participants through various situations and methods associated with consecutive interpreting in legal settings, such as interviews, witness testimonies and depositions. Key legal terms will be reviewed as needed and resources for further research will be recommended. Each person will be given many opportunities to practice specific content and skills and will receive feedback from the instructor.
